On a dry pan over medium heat toast the pine nuts, shaking constantly until they brown.  Be careful not to let them burn.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Combine the basil, pine nuts, garlic and a good pinch of salt and pepper in a food processor.  While running the processor drizzle in olive oil until the mixture is smooth.  If you&amp;#039;re feeling old school you can do this step in a big [[mortar and pestle]].&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
[[Sundried tomatoes]] and [[parmasean cheese]] are common additions to this recipe.&lt;br /&gt;
