Ingredients

   * 1 bunch basil leaves
   * 1/4-1/2 cup pine nuts
   * 3-4 cloves of garlic
   * extra virgin olive oil
   * sea salt and pepper

Directions

On a dry pan over medium heat toast the pine nuts, shaking constantly until they brown. Be careful not to let them burn.

Combine the basil, pine nuts, garlic and a good pinch of salt and pepper in a food processor. While running the processor drizzle in olive oil until the mixture is smooth. If you're feeling old school you can do this step in a big mortar and pestle.

Sundried tomatoes and parmasean cheese are common additions to this recipe.
